Love and All the Rest of It
Michael's first book of poetry, published in the United States in 1997, has now sold out. This second edition, in two volumes, includes all of the original poems together with a selection of more recent work. These poems are about love, family life, children, work, growing older, and all the various and manifest stresses of the modern world.

Volume One
If I Had Listened to My Dad

And now, as I recall those days,
I ask myself,
Where have those years all gone,
And you?
And all the joy?

Volume Two
Where Is the Dream?

…some dreams may still be there, worn a little thin,
But fine and all as they may be,
They won’t be the dream you were in.
